96, Björk attacks a reporter
In 1996, the Icelandic singer Björk was arriving to Bangkok, when Julie Kaufman greeted her “Welcome to Thailand”. The singer pulled her to the ground and knocked her head on the floor. According to the singer, the reporter has followed her for four days. The artist apologized to her and no charges were presented. She attacked another reporter in 2008.
89, Deff Leppard drummer Rick Allen loses his arm
The drummer was speeding in a country road near Sheffield, Englad, when he misjudged a curve, crashed through a stone wall and flipped his car several times. He was ejected from the vehicle and lost his arm; the doctors couldn’t re attach it because of infection. Despite of this, 20 months later he returned to the band and played at the “Monsters of Rock” Festival.
71, the Death of Freddie Mercury
After a lot of rumors and gossip, he accepted he was HIV positive on 23 November 1991. The next day, he died of bronchopneumonia at the age of 45 years old.
63, Studio 54 is closed due to tax evasion
One of the most famous discos, Studio 54 was visited by the most famous celebrities: Richard Gere, Jack Nicholson, Sylvester Stallone, Andy Warhol, Calvin Klein, Diana Ross, etc. But in December 1978 the owners, Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager, were arrested for skimming $ 2.5 millions of dollars.
50, Bob Marley survives a shooting
An unknown gunman attacked him, his wife and manager in a concert promoting peace in 1976. They all survived.
47, Michael Jackson marries Lisa Marie Presley
In 1994 he marries with the daughter of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie. Nobody believes it, nobody. They divorced in 1996. Still, nobody believes it.
30, the Death of Tupac Shakur
Tupac Shakur and his label Death Row Records were participants in the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry, especially with the rapper The Nototious B.I.G. and his label (Bad Boy Records). Both rappers were shot as the result of this rivalry.
23, Prince changes his name
He had a contract with Warner Bros. and they had the control of his entire career even the use of his name; as a protest, he changed his name to a symbol. Reporters started to call him “the artist formerly known as Prince,” in 2000 he went back to Prince when his contract expired.
4, the death of Kurt Cobain
The lead singer of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, was found dead in his house in Seattle, Washington on April 8th, 1994. The police report states that he was found with a severe wound on his head and a shotgun across his body. He was only 27 years old.
